COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN NPK AND POULTRY MANURE ON GROWTH PARAMETER OF MAIZE
Abstract:
This study conducts a comparative analysis between the effects of NPK fertilizer and poultry manure on the growth parameters of maize. Maize, being a staple crop in many regions, demands effective fertilization methods to ensure optimal growth and yield. The research involved the application of NPK fertilizer and poultry manure to maize plants in separate experimental plots. Growth parameters, including plant height, leaf area, stem girth, and biomass production, were assessed and compared between the two treatments over a defined period. Additionally, soil nutrient levels were analyzed to understand the impact of each fertilization method on soil fertility. The results indicate [findings], shedding light on the relative efficacy of NPK fertilizer and poultry manure in promoting maize growth. The study contributes valuable insights into sustainable agricultural practices and fertilizer management strategies for maize cultivation, particularly in resource-constrained environments. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects and economic viability of these fertilization approaches in maize farming systems.
