Construction and Design of a Pyramid-Structured Solar Power Device
ABSTRACT
The increasing demand for renewable energy and the need for efficient solar energy utilization have led to the development of innovative solar devices. This study focuses on the design and construction of a pyramid-shaped solar system aimed at improving solar energy absorption and efficiency. The pyramid structure was selected due to its geometric ability to capture sunlight from multiple angles throughout the day, thereby maximizing energy collection compared to conventional flat solar panel arrangements.
The project involved the design, material selection, and construction of a small-scale pyramid-shaped solar device using photovoltaic solar cells arranged on the four triangular faces of the pyramid. Supporting components such as a charge controller, rechargeable battery, connecting wires, and a power output system were integrated to enable energy storage and utilization. The constructed device was tested under varying sunlight conditions to evaluate its performance and efficiency.
The results of the experiment indicated that the pyramid-shaped configuration improved solar energy capture due to its multi-directional exposure to sunlight. The system was able to generate and store sufficient electrical energy to power small electrical devices such as LED lamps and mobile charging units. The design also demonstrated improved stability, portability, and adaptability for areas with inconsistent sunlight angles.
The study concludes that the pyramid-shaped solar system is a viable alternative for small-scale renewable energy generation, particularly in rural and off-grid communities. It is recommended that further research be conducted to improve the efficiency of the design through the use of higher-capacity photovoltaic cells and advanced energy storage systems.
