Abstract
This study examines the relationship between globalization and neo-imperialism in Africa from 1999 to 2019, focusing on the role of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) as a case study. As globalization has expanded, China’s influence in Africa has grown significantly, with CCCC playing a central role in the continent’s infrastructure development. While these investments have contributed to economic growth, they have also raised concerns about neo-imperialism, where economic power is leveraged to exert control over African nations.
The research delves into the historical context of Sino-African relations, exploring how CCCC’s projects have influenced local economies, politics, and social structures. By analyzing key projects, such as road and port constructions, this study assesses the benefits and drawbacks of CCCC’s involvement in Africa, including the implications for sovereignty, economic dependency, and environmental impact.
